Cake Pops Finale

After an insane amount of hours in the kitchen baking 6 cakes, crumbling cakes, mixing in frosting, rolling cake balls, chilling cake balls, and decorating them all I am spent! 16 hours in the kitchen and not on complaint from my taste testers so far! ( i have a few to meet up still and give them there goody bags!)
so with that said here are my two other flavors

Snow White cake pops
white cake with vanilla frosting & white vanilla candy melts with Christmas decor!

Chocolate Salted Carmel Pops
Chocolate cake with Carmel baked into the batter, chocolate Carmel frosting. Dark chocolate candy melts with sea salt on top

All my taste testers got the goodie bags and boxes! Super cute!

I think I'm going to put together a cute stand for the boxes later on and have them all standing up for next time.

So my exciting adventure is over for the taste testers. I have 5 display orders coming up for Christmas for them! Christmas wreath displays are slowly coming together in time for the deliveries! cant wait to see everyone faces.

On The Second Day of Christmas Cupcaketress sent to me...

(anyone else notice i was writing the song backwards??? took me a minute to realize how blonde I truly am.)

So today I'm sharing a recipe that is super popular in my family, and back when i was in middle school and high school all the band kids loved them. My mom has been making these cookies forever and ever and used to make them for every holiday big or small no matter what, but times have changed and shes a super working, baseball mom who only has time two times a year to make these. Everything is just perfect and cute about them. I mastered the dough and baking part, its just the icing on top I'm still figuring out, but the lovely Bakerella posted a creative fun way to make decorating more unique and enjoyable instead of just hating what i know ill end up with usually!

So here is my moms cookies i have named:
DOLL HOUSE COOKIES
3/4 cups butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat butter on high. Add 1/2 the flour, all of the sugar, eggs, baking powder & vanilla. Beat until combined. Stir in the remaining flour. Once all is combined chill for 2 hours. (i usually make the dough the day before and bake the next day) After 2 hours you will need to have your flour on hand and a rolling pin. On the surface you are going to be rolling out the dough cover with flour so it wont stick, also rub some on the rolling pin just in case. Don't be shy... you will need to use PLENTY on flour the more you use the dough because it will get kinda sticky. Roll out the dough, use whatever cookie cutters of your choice and place on an ungreased cookie sheet (bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes).

Once they are out of the oven let cool for 2 minutes the place on newspaper or a cookie rack. Once completely cooled get ready to decorate.

ICING:
3 table spoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
powder sugar
milk

Beat butter and vanilla. Add powder sugar and milk until desired thickness. (this is the part my mom is still the best at! I'm still figuring out because i usually am impatient but i have learned to be more patient and maybe will get a good thicker icing this year!) Once mixed to the desired thickness, you can add food color and decorate with it. Add non perils, m&ms, skittles, red hots, and what ever else your heart desires to get the look you want!

And I'm super sorry to say i have no photos yet. Maybe on Christmas i will post mine and my moms so you can see where i got it from and who does it better.

Also these last a while in an air tight container. And you can freeze the baked cookies un-decorated till you are ready to decorate for about a week. Pretty neat and works out well for those super busy super parents, kids and everyone else who is an undercover baker! :)

On the first day of Christmas Cupcaketress sent to me:

so its the 12 days of christmas...well 12 days till christmas but you get the point, But i wanted to share some stuff you or your baking crazed friend my life to see under the tree, or in their stocking for the holidays.

So today I share my love of Johnny Cupcakes. He is known for his amazing graphic designs on shirts, pins pencils & whatever else he can get them on! Known for the cross bone cupcake logo, and insanely amazing and well designed stores he has every one wanting his stuff. He just came out with some cute earings, shorts & ties. He has everything cute your trendy friend or yourself would ever want.

I'd most def suggest checking out the site checking out his background and give his blog a read. What a straight up down to earth guy. Nothing like ordering from his site and getting the package in a few days and loving that power ranger card i get with every purchase! reminds me of my childhood! Seriously love it!

And for those that arent aware, sorry kiddos he doesnt own a bakery, he just owns a name that works well with his products because of who he is!

Now if only i could see him and his team giving a lecture sometime... that would be what i want under the tree!
